I wonder how long will it be before films are not only simul-streamed but also simul-VR'd to $AMZN $FB $GOOG $AAPL $YOKU $RENN $BABA audience/user base?
Circa 2025, will we see a James Bond/next Marvel installment/Batman premiere offering with such gear/implants?
Will we be at the red carpet and pay for sponsored experiences of standing next to a celebrity/butante/blogovant/celebutroll and then see the film with them?
Will we 'Scope/'Kat (assuming $TWTR gets its together) and get to "heart" ourselves to heart's content with them during such premieres (AND AFTERparties!?!? :D )?
And have the whole thing cached for our delight decades later?
If we miss the live meatspace event, can we still enjoy/re-VR it years later with virtual avatars approved of and sponsored by the studio/production company (or granted legal personhood by the government) and will "A.(r.)I." Hollywood agents make sure their clients (alive or their estates) get a piece of that action each and every time? Will we get to become celebs ourselves and resell our experiences via Google's V-tube?
Some random thoughts on a near-present.
